My MCP server shows "failed" in Line CLI

TroubleshootingUpdated

/mcp shows failed · <reason> when Line couldn't start or connect to the server.

Check#

  1. Command servers: does the command run by itself in your terminal (for example npx -y <package>)? Is Node installed?
  2. Environment: variables like ${GITHUB_TOKEN} must be set in the shell you start Line from.
  3. URL servers: is the URL right, and are the headers or tokens valid?
  4. Fix the config, then /mcp reload.

line mcp from the shell waits for servers to connect and prints each one's status and tools, which is handy for testing.
