My zip's preview failed. Is my file lost?
No. preview.status: "failed" (and a code.update_failed event) means the zip couldn't be read for unpacking. The zip is still stored, encrypted, and you can download it.
Common causes#
- The file isn't really a zip (renamed
.rar,.7zor.tar.gz). - The zip is damaged or incomplete.
- Every entry is password-protected.
Re-create the zip with a standard tool and upload it again. To store a non-zip archive, upload it as an asset.
