Should my bucket be public or private?

FAQUpdated

Private (the default) is right for almost everything: source code, client work, builds.

Make a bucket public only when everything in it is meant for anyone, like website images or public downloads. Even then, you can keep single files private.

A tidy pattern is two buckets per project: source (private) and public-assets (public).
