How should I organize my projects and buckets?

How-toUpdated

Some patterns that work well:

SituationProjectsBuckets
Personal appsOne per appsource, assets, releases
Agency workOne per clientOne per deliverable or site
MonorepoOne for the repoOne per package (or use target_path)
Company releasesOne per productOne per environment or major version

Tips#

  • Keep public files (like website images) in their own public bucket, and code in private buckets.
  • Each bucket has its own 10 GB, its own encryption key, and its own events feed.
  • Your 1 backup slot is per account, so decide which bucket matters most.
