What is a token?
AI models read and write text in small pieces called tokens. A token is often a short word or part of a longer word; punctuation and spaces count too. Different languages split into tokens differently.
Why it matters#
- The Telegram daily limit is 5,000,000 tokens per account per day.
- Your plan's usage is valued by tokens at model rates.
- Each message uses tokens for what Cosmos reads (your message, recent chat, memories, web pages, files) and what it writes.
/usage shows today's token count.
