How do Line Code's old prices compare with SuperCosmos?
Per 1M input / output tokens, last published prices:
| Line Code (retired) | Price | SuperCosmos 1.1 | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fast | $1.15 / $1.60 | Flash | $1.60 / $3.40 |
| Ultra | $1.25 / $1.90 | Max | $1.80 / $3.80 |
| Ultra Fast | $1.40 / $2.20 | Heavy | $2.00 / $4.40 |
SuperCosmos costs more per token, but note: Line Code Ultra Fast used about 30× the tokens of Fast on the same task, so per-task costs weren't as low as the per-token prices suggest. SuperCosmos also has a 1M window (Line Code: 256K). Update any budget estimates that used Line Code prices.
Good to know#
- SuperCosmos 1.1 is built to say "I don't know" rather than invent facts. How it's built to be honest
- A request whose prompt is over 262K tokens bills its whole input at 1.5×; output prices don't change. Long-context pricing
- Clatter Labs publishes its measurements of honesty, coding, efficiency and purity. Benchmark 2 results
