Which law applies, and how are disputes handled?
- Governing law: the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt (Terms, Section 36).
- First step: 30 days of good-faith negotiation after written notice.
- Then: arbitration by the Cairo Regional Centre for International Commercial Arbitration (CRCICA), a sole arbitrator, seated in Cairo, in English.
- Interim relief: the courts of Cairo.
- Consumers keep the protection of mandatory laws where they live and any right to go to their own courts or consumer authorities.
- Disputes are individual, not class actions, where the law allows.
