I use SuperCosmos in Line CLI. Is the Model API different?
Same model, same tiers, same per-token prices. The differences:
| Line CLI | Model API | |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | A ready-made coding agent in your terminal | Raw model access for your own code |
| Paid from | Your plan's usage limits | Credits |
| Picks the tier | /effort (or auto) | Model id |
| Tools, files, sub-agents | Built in | You build them |
Usage in one doesn't count against the other's limit.
Good to know#
- Every response has an
X-Request-Id; log it so a request can be found later. Why log it - Every call shows in Console › Logs and Usage as Model API, with its price. See what you spent
- Your key's account is responsible for your end users' text under the Abuse policy. What it means for apps
