Line Code was retired. What does that mean for Line CLI?
Line Code, Clatter Labs' earlier coding model, was retired on Nov 1, 2026 on every Clatter Labs product. Line CLI now runs on SuperCosmos 1.1. You don't need to do anything.
Why#
From the retirement post: Line Code didn't reach the quality Clatter Labs expects for real coding work; it was less reliable than it needed to be, especially on longer tasks and larger edits. The compute that served it now goes to SuperCosmos. It's retired for good; if it ever comes back, it will be as a new release.
For you#
| Where | What happens |
|---|---|
| Line CLI | Moves to SuperCosmos automatically (Fast → Flash, Ultra → Max, Ultra Fast → Heavy) |
| Model API | line-code-* ids answer 410 model_retired and are never billed |
| Plans and credits | Unchanged |
