Can Line CLI search the web and read documentation?

FAQUpdated

Yes. web_search returns titles, links and snippets; web_fetch reads a page or raw file over https as text, useful for docs, API references and changelogs.

  • For JavaScript single-page apps that return an empty shell, web_fetch reports the page title, description, links and asset URLs, with hints for getting the real content.
  • Web content is untrusted: if a page contains instructions aimed at the agent, edits and commands need your approval for the rest of that turn.
  • Restrict domains with permission rules, for example "allow": ["web_fetch(domain:docs.rs)"].
