How does Line CLI remember things about my project?

ExplainerUpdated

Line doesn't keep a hidden memory between sessions. Instead, it reads instruction files every time it starts:

  • LINE.md (or AGENTS.md) in your project folder.
  • ~/.line/LINE.md for rules that apply to all your projects.

Put lasting things there: how to build and test, code style, folders to avoid, "use pnpm, not npm". /init writes a first version for your project.

To continue a specific conversation, use saved sessions (line -c, /resume).
