What does /auto do?

How-toUpdated

/auto switches auto-approve on or off for this session. With it on, Line edits files and runs commands without asking.

Even in auto:

  • Files that usually hold secrets (.env, SSH and cloud credentials, private keys) still ask.
  • Reading, listing or searching outside the project folder still asks.
  • If a web page or tool output tries to instruct the agent, edits and commands ask for the rest of the turn.

To make auto the default for new sessions: /config auto on. To start one run in auto: line -y.
