Should I stream events or poll for the result?

Streaming is recommended. One stream connection replaces dozens of GET calls, shows each step as it happens, and counts once against your rate limit when you open it, however long it runs.

When polling is fine#

• Simple scripts that only need the final result.
• Environments where long-lived connections are hard.

Poll GET /v1/runs/{id} every 2 seconds or more until status is completed, failed or cancelled. Faster polling can hit your key's requests-per-minute limit and answer 429 rate_limited.
