How many messages can a SuperCosmos conversation have?

The model's limit is the 1M-token window, not a number of messages: many short messages fit, fewer long ones. Products add their own limits:

• Model API: up to 800 messages and 3 MB per request.
• Line CLI: compacts older steps automatically at about 80% of the window.

Very long chats also cost more per turn, because the history is sent again each time.
