What do the Playground chat settings do?
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Model | SuperCosmos Flash, Max or Heavy |
| System prompt | Instructions the model follows for the whole chat, like "You write concise, friendly developer release notes." |
| Temperature | Lower = more focused and repeatable; higher = more varied |
| Max tokens | The longest answer allowed. If it's reached, the reply ends with "Cut off at the max tokens limit" |
These map directly to the Model API's chat completion fields, and View code includes them.
Good to know#
- Playground use is billed from your API credits, like the Model API and Agent API.
- SuperCosmos reads text only; image input isn't supported.
- Every API request sends your key and your Account ID (
X-Clatter-Account: CL-…); a key alone is refused.
