Is the Playground free?
The Playground isn't free, but it's cheap to try. It's paid from your API credits, the same as the Model API and Agent API.
A short chat uses a few hundred to a few thousand tokens. At SuperCosmos Flash prices ($1.60 per million input tokens and $3.40 per million output tokens) that's usually a small fraction of a cent. The readout under each answer shows the exact cost.
New accounts get $5 of free credit once, which covers a lot of Playground experiments. Agent runs cost more than chats because they also use a cloud computer.
Good to know#
- View code turns what you tried into Python, JavaScript or cURL.
- SuperCosmos reads text only; image input isn't supported.
