Why did my upload delete the other files in my code view?

A new zip replaces the whole code tree unless you upload it with target_path. So uploading a zip of one folder makes that folder the entire tree.

Get the earlier code back#

• The previous tree is still reachable by its ref. Find it in the earlier code.updated event and read it with ?ref=.
• If you took a backup before the upload, restoring it brings that tree back as a new version.
• Or upload the full zip again.

Next time, use target_path for partial updates, and back up before uploading a zip that replaces everything.
