How many tokens does an upload use?

FAQUpdated

Each request costs 1 token, and file data costs 1 token per MiB (rounded up per request).

Example: a 100 MiB zip is 7 chunks → 7 requests + 100 MiB of data = 107 tokens, plus 2 for starting and completing = 109.

Every API response has an X-Codebuckets-Tokens header with what that request used. In the Console, browsing is free and uploaded data counts 1 token per MiB.
