Are the images Cosmos makes or I send private?

FAQUpdated

Images (PNG, JPEG, GIF, WebP, AVIF, BMP), whether you sent them or Cosmos made them, are stored in your Code Buckets with a public image link. The link uses a long random id that can't be guessed, but anyone who has the exact link can open it.

Other files (documents, code, SVG) are private until you choose to share them.

If that matters to you#

  • Avoid sending photos with sensitive information (IDs, cards, documents).
  • Delete an image: ask Cosmos "delete <file name>" (it asks you to confirm), or delete it in Code Buckets in the Console.
