What's the difference between the Playground and calling the API myself?

They run the same models at the same prices, billed from the same credits. The Playground uses a managed key and needs no code, so it's ideal for testing prompts and costs. The API is for production: your keys, your rate limits, your own error handling. Use View code to move from one to the other.

Good to know#

• SuperCosmos reads text only; image input isn't supported.
• Every API request sends your key and your Account ID (X-Clatter-Account: CL-…); a key alone is refused.
• A new key's secret is shown only once. Clatter Labs stores only a hash, so a lost key can't be recovered.
