What's the difference between MB and MiB in Code Buckets?

FAQUpdated

Code Buckets measures chunks and tokens in MiB (mebibytes):

  • 1 MiB = 1,048,576 bytes.
  • 16 MiB (a chunk) = 16,777,216 bytes.

Some tools show MB as 1,000,000 bytes, so a "100 MB" file can be about 95.4 MiB. Token counts round up per request, so the difference rarely matters for planning.

Preview limits are written in MB (2 MB per file), and bucket storage in GB (10 GB = 10,737,418,240 bytes).
